Time for a digidare this week – scrapping a 2 sided situation.

It’s been an interesting & productive month of scrapping this January – 23 layouts done! I’ve been enjoying the month of challenges at The Lilypad and it’s certainly been worthwhile in terms of 21 completed challenges and a number of them I really love. Never thought I’d get the whole 31 challenges done – was doing fine until I hit the late teens and got stuck on a few. And then the floods came and I spent more time watching facebook than I should have.

So not a bad total in all. The last time I had this productive a scrapping month was doing Jessica Sprague’s December Holiday’s in Hand though that was template based and a lot simpler.

Been a long while since I’ve done a dare but I do love challenges to get me going. This week we are to scrap about a RAK – Random Act of Kindness done to us by a stranger.

Took me a while to refind this tutorial from a few months ago so if I post it here I can find it again if I need to.

On the Oscraps blog is the tutorial for turning a photo into a B&W line sketch then adding back part of the colour photo so that it looks like a partly finished painting from a sketch.

Had started this LO a few months ago with the intention of trying a moving scrapbook page but looked like it would be too difficult. When I saw this week’s digidare to scrap “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again” I knew which photos I wanted and remembered that there was a started LO somewhere.

Good to get back to scrapping after way to long playing Stronghold Kingdoms.

This weeks digidare is to scrap your “Greatest Hits” whatever they may be.

I haven’t done a digidare in a while so when I saw this weeks one on crying I knew I had to finish this layout. This was a tough one for me. The journalling had been started months ago but wasn’t really what I wanted to say till I reworked it today.  There are 2 patterned papers 😉 but one is very subtle.

This week’s digidare is to scrap about those things that we are rediscovering all over again, and yes we also introduced the kids to the silliness of the Muppets and they love it. It’s so funny to hear Mr 6 singing old 60s & 70s songs (“Put another log on the fire” was a favourite for a while. But nothing beats Mahna Mahna!!!!)

We lost our Tess girl yesterday at nearly 16 yrs old. We’ll miss your sweet face & deep brown eyes.

So scrapping a LO for the digidare this week about our pets was somewhat therapeutic after sheding quite a few tears yesterday.
